Record Store Day: Liste mit angeblichen Releases geleakt
Seit 2007 kommen im Zuge des Record Store Day einmal im Jahr im April exklusive, nur in lokalen Plattenläden angebotene Vinyl-Releases auf den Markt. Im Internet ist nun eine unbestätigte Liste aufgetaucht, die die Releases für 2016 enthalten soll.

In einem Message-Board kursiert derzeit eine Liste, die angeblich die exklusiven Veröffentlichungen des diesjährigen Record Store Day zusammenfassen soll.

Auch zahlreiche Musiker aus dem VISIONS-Kosmos finden sich in der Auflistung: Anti-Flag veröffentlichen demnach ihr 2015 aufgezeichnete Plattenladen-Session „Live Acoustic At 11th Street Records“ auf durchsichtigem Vinyl, Frank Turners Akustikversion seines aktuellen Albums „Positive Songs For Negative People“ erscheint als LP, Iron Maiden koppeln aus ihrem aktuellen Album „The Book Of Souls“ das epische „The Empire Of The Clouds“ für eine Twelve-Inch im Gatefold inklusive Interview auf der B-Seite aus, und La Dispute bringen die im Rahmen ihrer „Tiny Dots“-Dokumentation mitgeschnittene Live-Musik auf eine Platte.

Offiziell bestätigt sind die Releases noch nicht, es ist auch unklar, ob noch weitere Releases hinzukommen, welche Veröffentlichungen in welcher Limitierung erscheinen, und ob bestimmte Releases nur in den USA oder Europa erscheinen. Recherchen der Kollegen des MINT Magazin legen aber nahe, dass die Liste zumindest zum Teil korrekt ist.

Der Record Store Day findet seit 2007 jährlich am dritten Samstag im April statt, in diesem Jahr also am 16. April. Ziel der Veranstaltung ist es, mit exklusiven Vinyl-Veröffentlichungen die unabhängige Plattenladenkultur zu feiern und am Leben zu erhalten. Kritiker werfen dem Event allerdings vor, nicht energisch genug gegen Schwarzmarkthandel vorzugehen und kritisieren zu hohe Preise sowie eine angebliche Unterwanderung des Record Store Day durch Majorlabels.
