So erzählte Jet-Drummer Chris Cester gegenüber ‚Xfm Online‘, dass nicht zuletzt die vergangene Tour mit The Sleepy Jackson ein großer Einfluss für die Band gewesen sei und ihrem nächsten Album einen eindeutigen Country- und Western-Touch verleihen würde.
Ebenfalls bestätigt wurde die Ankündigung von Gitarrist Cameron Muncey, das nächste Jet-Album werde die Band eher von ihrer sensiblen Seite zeigen und mehr ruhige Songs enthalten als „Get Born“: „We’re gonna try do something completely different, and there’s been talk of making an album of mostly ballads.“ Cester selbst räumt ein: „We wrote a lot of the record on the back of the bus this year. We had time split up in our own corners of the bus just to work seperately, so it’s gonna be even more schizophrenic than our last record. We haven’t been talking much, but hopefully we’ll come together and put it all together in December.“
Nicht viel gesprochen? Offenbar hat die Band an der langen gemeinsamen Tourzeit härter zu knacken, als man annehmen könnte: „We’ve been in each other’s faces for the best part of the year and had a few hairy moments towards the end. I’ve got a brother in the band and another guy I grew up with, so of course we drive each other mad. But we’re more chilled now.“
