Die genaue Ursache für die Orbital-Absage ist unbekannt. In der Erklärung des Managers, Dan Silva, werden familiäre Gründe als Grund angegeben. Aus Rücksicht auf die Familien werden keine Details veröffentlicht. Von den Absagen betroffen sind das Bizarre und Sonne, Mond und Sterne. In beiden Fällen sind die Veranstalter um adäquaten Ersatz bemüht. Im Statement an die Veranstalter des Bizarre Festivals, die Concertcooperation Bonn heißt es:
„Orbital would like to offer their apologies that they have to cancel their appearance at the ELECTRONIC BEAT STAGE on the 15th BIZARRE Festival on August 17th due to unforseen family circumstances. We would like to take this opportunity to apologize to all people involved in trying to bring Orbital to Germany an we hope that we can return very soon. I would like to add my own personal regrets to you and the Bizarre Festival about the cancellation.“ Auch Lagwagon haben alle Termine abgesagt. Dementsprechend wird die Band auch nicht beim diesjährigen Rock Am See in Konstanz spielen. Ein Ersatz ist schon gefunden: Einspringen werden die vier Kalifornier von Alien Ant Farm.
