Dass The Legion Of Doom an einem ersten Mashup-Album arbeiten, auf dem ausschließlich Punk-, Hardcore-, Emo- und Metalcore-Songs verwurstet werden, wurde an dieser Stelle bereits Mitte Februar gemeldet.
Jetzt sind erstmals Kostproben des kommenden Albums „Incorporated“ im Netz zu finden – und haben direkt eine kleine Kontroverse ausgelöst. Denn Taking Back Sunday konnten dem Song „I Know What You Buried Last Summer“, der aus dem TBS-Song „You’re So Last Summer“ und dem Senses Fail-Stück „Buried A Lie“ zusammengeschustert wurde, offensichtlich wenig bis nichts abgewinnen: Die Band forderte von Legion Of Doom, dass er Song umgehend von der Website der Mashup-Spezialisten gelöscht wird.
Legion Of Doom kamen dieser Aufforderung umgehend nach – und ließen durchblicken, dass sie mittlerweile ähnliche Reaktionen von anderen Bands erwarten: „It has never been our wish to offend any of the bands in our mashups, and we have complied with their request. The track, however, has already been set loose. It’s out of our hands. If you’re resourceful you can find it on one of the various P2P networks. We expect to be similarly pressured into removing the other bootlegs on the site. This could happen at any time, so get them while you can.“
„The other bootlegs“ sind in diesem Fall „The Quiet Screaming“ (Dashboard Confessional vs. Brand New), „Dottie In A Car Crash“ (Get Up Kids vs. Thursday) und „A Threnody For A Grand“ (Atreyu vs. It Dies Today). Alle Songs stehen weiterhin zum Download bereit.
Das Album „Incorporated“ wird auf der Website weiterhin für Mai/Juni 2005 angekündigt und soll folgende Songs enthalten:
