Music taste isn't in your DNA: You can train it, primp it, mess about with it, or let it wither. But some things are hard to change: For instance, you can't choose your times. Whatever's happening when you fall for music-- whatever current strain you first identify with-- that stuff stays with you. You might grow out of it and never listen to it again but it still feels important, even if history and facts say otherwise.
